Facebook is one of the most popular social networking websites online. So it’s a no brainer that home based business owners should find a way to market there.
Now, before we begin, let me say that Facebook is one of the harder social networking sites to market on. It’s not like its cousin Myspace which allows you to market much more freely; in fact Facebook really would probably prefer you don’t market at all.
However, that hasn’t stopped some people from generating quality leads from Facebook and after reading this article you can be one of them.
One of the best things about Facebook for marketing is the groups. On Facebook, you can create a group for just about anything you want and many people have created groups for people who are either in a home based business or would like to be.
By joining these groups, you now have access to an entire group of people who are all interested in making money from home!
Once you set up your Facebook by following the simple steps, you’ll want to do a search for “home based business” under groups and literally hundreds will come up. Just start joining them a few at a time.
Then, you’ll want to talk to the other members of the group by writing on the “wall” (just a place to leave comments for the entire group). However, make sure you don’t leave the same comment on the wall of every group you join because Facebook will call you out for spamming and your account could get deleted.
You’ll also want to be careful how many people you send messages to per day because Facebook also looks down on that.
Don’t go crazy and try to market to every single person in every single group because you will get shut down really fast. Just do a little bit each day and it can pay off pretty well if you’re consistent.
Marketing your home based business opportunity using Facebook can be tricky, but find the right groups and don’t do too much at one time and you’ll create a nice steady stream of leads every month!
