Let’s be honest, I love my Grandma, and you should love yours! She does bake you cookies after all.
However, when it comes to building a successful home based business, Grandma might just be the last person you should take advice from.
Now we’re not just picking on Grandmas, you also shouldn’t listen to your parents, your broke cousins or your uncle Gene. Why? Because, while all those people probably love you to death and want nothing but the best for you, there is a good solid chance that they have absolutely no idea how to make money working from home!
It really never ceases to amaze me how people tend to listen to their broke, barely getting by, friends and family before they will listen to someone who knows what it takes to create a genuine income working from home.
Why do the broke follow the broke?!
Ok, so maybe your family isn’t broke. But if they’ve never made any money working from home, they probably aren’t the people you need to be taking advice from when it comes to your home based business.
It seems like I’ve seen this a million times. I talk to someone at a meeting or over the phone and they are excited! They can’t wait to get started and they just know they can succeed! Then I don’t hear from them for a couple of days, I call them up and I hear this:
“Yeah, I talked to my wife and she told me it was a scam and I shouldn’t do it.”
Or “I told my co-worker about it and they said it didn’t work for them, so I’m sure it won’t work for me.”
It’s just the saddest thing in the world to have someone be so extremely excited just give all their dreams away after talking to one or two people.
I know that your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers means well and want to protect you but what they’re really doing is holding you back from the greatness you could achieve, simply because they don’t believe in it or they tried and failed in the past.
Stop listening to the wrong people! Find a home based business and instead of following the people in your life, who have never had success working from home, follow the people who have!
