I have found Facebook to be very user friendly and easy to set up and it is relatively marketer friendly. Which means you can reach more people that you may not have been able to without it!
A couple of words of caution though, it is highly addictive so you have to manage your 
time wisely. You can easily get sucked into the world of chatting with friends, browsing other people’s profiles and playing games.
The other thing is you must understand your audience and how to market to Facebook users. People who are on Facebook are there to connect with other people. They are not thinking of buying something. One of the best ways to spread the news about your business is video marketing. YouTube is the best site to use for video marketing. The videos range from silly to informative.
