My Biggest MLM Success Secret Is Don’t Be Afraid Of Failure

All people want to be successful in business as well as life. But I have found there is one over arching reason so many people don’t have the success they are looking for. They are afraid to fail. Quite frankly, the best MLM success secret I can tell you is to not be afraid of failure.

Some people just need to be reminded every day!

The fear of failure is a big reason why so many people elect to hold off on joining a MLM business. It’s because nobody wants to feel like a failure or risk spending money on something that may not pay off for them. However, the opposite is true as well. You don’t want to miss out on doing something that could drastically change your life just because you’re afraid.

Just remember that whenever you start a business, either a traditional brick and mortar business or a network marketing business, there is a possibility that you could fail. All types of businesses fail; home based and otherwise. So the risk is always there. But your risk of failing in a MLM business isn’t as high as you might think. Yes, there is a chance that you won’t meet all of your goals. A key MLM success secret is to make a plan for your success and stick with it. That will make your chances of failure are pretty low.

The only people who really end up failing in a network marketing business are those who aren’t willing to give it their best effort. I see a lot of people who are willing to get started in a business but they aren’t willing to ACTUALLY work for their success. They just assume that if they are a member of a company, the business will just build itself. Which we all know that is not true.

On the flip-side, there are those who DO work but they just aren’t consistent enough or they give up too early in the process. You cannot build a successful business in just a few months. It will take time. The true MLM success secret is if you are willing to work hard and invest the same type of time and energy that you would invest in any other type of business, you can have success and lots of it.

Let’s face it, we live in a disposable world. Disposable pens. Disposable plates. Disposable razors. Now there is a troubling phenomena has been gathering a full head of steam over the last decade and a half…..The Disposable Employee.

Companies have long chased a cheaper workforce around the globe. American companies have sent our cars, toys, clothing and even bicycles to be manufactured overseas. Recently, this practice has been expanded to include non-manufacturing jobs such as tech support and customer service.

This trend is causing many American workers to be fearful for their jobs. After all, if companies aren’t outsourcing jobs overseas, they are outsourcing to vendors within the U.S.

The main concern of outsourcing is that the employees who ACTUALLY work for large companies are losing their jobs, regardless if the job stays on-shore.

The problem for the employee is that LONG gone are the days that a person could go to work for a company and stay there for 40 years and retire. Now, an employee is lucky to be with a company for more than 5 years; this is not always by choice. In fact, companies are seeking ways to reduce the workforce that directly works for them and send the jobs elsewhere. This reduces their cost for health insurance, retirement and human resources.

While that may be great for a company’s bottom line, it isn’t for the people who work for them since they are not the ones at the top of the corporate pyramid receiving the big bonuses.

So what should you do to protect yourself and your financial future?

I have found there are two fundamental things that you should start doing today! They are to change your current mindset about how you earn money and find a way to secure your future.

First, let’s look at changing your mindset. So what is a mindset? It is a way of thinking. Your attitude or opinion. It is your state of mind that effects your attitude to events and your ability to make decisions.

With that definition in mind, realize that you are the only person who is going to be looking out for your best interests. You CANNOT rely on your employer to provide you with a good income, benefits or retirement plan.

You are the only person who can secure your financial future. Educate yourself to change your mindset about money, jobs and how you look at yourself. One of the best ways you can do that is by educating yourself through goal-setting books, CD’s, seminars, etc. There is so much good material out there that will help you achieve more in life. After all, your personal paycheck should never exceed your personal development in life.

Second, you need to find a way to secure your future by earning extra income today. But how to you go about doing that? I have found that a home based business is the best way to accomplish this. You can start part time and learn the skill-sets (listening, communication and presentation) that it takes to eventually quit your job on your terms not your company’s.

After you have found the genre of home based business that you like, find a mentor and pattern yourself after him or her. Success leaves clues and many network marketers love to work with open-minded people who will eagerly follow their clues and have success of their own.

So, take the necessary steps today to secure your financial future. After all, you never know what tomorrow will bring in the corporate arena.

The Choice Is Yours: Be Successful Or Keep Listening To Your Broke Friends!

There is something I just don’t understand. Why do so many people listen to their broke friends? I’ve wondered this for years and years. Sure it’s fine if you want advice on dating or clothes I guess that’s OK, too. But why take advice on money from someone who doesn’t have any?

There is something that successful people know that your broke friends will never ever tell you. That secret is when you join a home based business, any home based business, you can succeed or you could fail and the kicker is the choice is totally up to you!

You heard me right. Success is a choice! It always has been and it always will be. If you choose to fail you will and if you choose to succeed you’ll do that too.

So why would anyone choose to fail? Well, I really don’t think they know that they are doing it. If you join a business with the idea that you’ll “give it a try” you can stop right there. You’ve just made a choice to fail in that business!

If you join a business but you don’t want to tell any of your family and friends about it. Again, you’ve chosen failure instead of success. And if you join a business and barely work at it or only give it a month or two, you’ve chosen the road to failure.

So how then do you choose success? After all nobody joins a business and knowingly wants to fail. At least not any sane person that I know.

Well for starters, you can join the business with the mindset that it’s going to change your life forever. Don’t think small like an extra $500 or $1000 a month, think BIG. Nobody who “gives it a try” will ever see success. So take that phrase out of your vocabulary, right now.

You also have to be confident enough in your business to tell the people who are closest to you about it. This does not mean bugging your friends and family until they’re avoiding your calls and pretending like they’re not home. It just means that you should share it with them. If they say no, well that’s totally fine. You just shouldn’t be ashamed of what you’re doing.

One other way to choose success is to give yourself time to win. There isn’t a business alive that can promise you wealth in a couple of months. It’s going to take some time, but believe me it’s well worth it.

Get all the negativity out of your business and don’t let people tell you you’re going to fail. If you listen to them, you will fail.

Stop making the choice to fail and start winning! There is nothing like success in a home based business.

Do You Find Fault In Your Network Marketing Company??

If you’re in a network marketing company, you know they type of people I’m talking about– fault finders. These people might think they’re doing some good but all they’re really doing is holding themselves and sometimes others back.

So how do you know if you’re a network marketing fault finder? Just check out this article and see if you are guilty of any of these 5 things. If you’ve done at least 3 out of the 5 things I’m about to list, watch out, you might be a fault finder!

#1 If you don’t like the most successful people in your company.

Look, you don’t have to love all the top earners in your company. However, if you don’t like most of them, chances are it’s not them it’s you! People who aren’t successful like to find the faults of those who are. What you should really be doing is following their steps to success.

Who cares if they wore something tacky to convention or they don’t know which (their, there, they’re) to use. If they’re having success they must be doing something right! Just focus on that.

#2 If you’re always wanting to improve your products.

It doesn’t just have to be the products, by the way, it could be the websites, the comp plan or whatever. The point is if you’re constantly wanting to improve things before you get started, you’ll probably never get started.

No company is perfect so if that’s what you’re waiting for ,you might as well get out now. People have made hundreds of thousands of dollars and even millions in MLM with some of the stupidest products imaginable. So really it just doesn’t matter.

#3 If you’re always emailing your upline with suggestions.

We’re sure your upline loves you. But we’re also sure that they don’t want to get 30 emails a week from you. This is especially true if you’re emails are all ideas about how the company, the team or they could improve.

Look, your upline probably can’t change things anyway, and honestly, it’s just gonna bring them down. So don’t do it!

#4 If you listen to stories of failure.

It’s true that for every 10 success stories in MLM there are about 100 stories of people who tried and failed. Don’t listen to them!

We’re sorry your cousins, best friends, aunt lost some money 15 years ago but listening to that kind of negativity doesn’t do anybody any good.

#5 If you focus on the details.

When it comes to success in MLM, the details are not important. So stop focusing on them! Many, many successful 6 figure earners couldn’t tell you what they make on their 7^th level. So why are you worried about it?

If you see yourself in any of these 5 examples, you might just be a network marketing fault finder. But despair not! You can always turn away from your fault finding ways, and trust me, when you do you’re going to see a whole lot more success!

Set A Goal And Allow Yourself To Reach That Goal!

So many people involved in a home based business feel that they have to be extremely smart or mature in their business before the real success will come. In this article, I plan to show you how building your business like a child can help you see more results faster and grow your income in a huge way.

How could thinking like a child possibly help your home based business? Here are a few reasons why you should act your shoe size — not your age.

Children only have one goal in mind at any given moment. For instance, if you’ve ever seen a little boy or girl in the toy aisle at Wal-Mart or Target, they are usually begging their mom or dad for a toy. In that moment, in the mind of that child, that toy is the most important thing on planet Earth!

You can try and distract them, but they want what they want and they’re not going to stop putting up a fight for it.

As a home based business owner, you can learn a lot from this. If we, as adults, had one eighth the passion for success that that small child has for their toy, we’d be hearing a lot more success stories in our home based businesses.

Children don’t have a plan B, and we shouldn’t either. Almost all Network Marketing success stories come from people who were at a point in their lives when they quite literally had no other option but to succeed!

In that moment, in that toy aisle, you’ll never see a child say, “Well, I really want that new doll but I do have several other dolls at home I could play with. So I’ll just forget about it.”

So, for instance, if your goal is to make $100,000 a year working from home you shouldn’t sell yourself short by saying, “Well, I guess $60,000 is really all I need.”

Set a goal and allow yourself no other options but reaching that goal!

Another way that children are great examples is how they deal with people. Children have no fear. If a little boy walks up to another little boy in the sandbox and asks him to play with him, he’s not thinking, “Oh gosh, I don’t know if I should ask him to play. I mean he’s having a pretty good time in the sandbox. I don’t want to bother him.”

NO!

If a kid wants to play with another kid he just walks up and asks him. No fear. No beating around the bush. If he wants to play, great! If not, at least he knows.

Have an idea of what I’m getting at? You have to talk to people about your home based business without any fear. After all, the worst they can say is no, right?

Stop worrying about if you’re “bothering” people or trying to figure out exactly what they’re going to say. Who cares! You have something great in your hands and if they want it, awesome! If they don’t so what.

Market your business less like an adult and more like a confident, excited child and your home based business will never be the same again!

Home Based Business Success: Are You Limiting Your Own Success?

Most people know that when you’re working your own home based business, the sky is the limit. It’s true that there really is no cut off for success when you own your own business. However, many people are limiting their own success and they don’t even know it. Are you?

It’s good to have income goals when you are working from home but sometimes we can find ourselves not being able to see past those goals to something bigger. For instance, if you are at a job making $40,000 a year you might say to yourself “I want to replace my $40,000 a year income so I can quit my job!”

Now there is nothing wrong with that. However, once you hit that goal ,a lot of people just stop because that is all the money they have ever pictured themselves making. This is what I mean by limiting your income. Sure you might want to make more than 40 Grand, but because you can’t see it for yourself, you’ll never be able to actually reach it.

Now I know what you’re probably thinking “I would never limit my income!”

Well the truth is that most people do it without even knowing it. Do this exercise: write down on a piece of paper all the things you want from life no matter how big they are. Then take a look at them.

If your dreams and goals aren’t huge you’re probably limiting your income. I once read someone’s list of dreams and one of them was to own a new Saturn! Let me say that again…. A new Saturn! No offense to Saturn but that’s not a dream car!

So sit back and look at your list of goals and whatever they are make them bigger! By having huge almost unreachable goals, you will allow yourself to keep reaching higher and higher and never getting comfortable enough to stop reaching for more.

Finally, never let other people limit your income. Sometimes friends or family members tend to have an idea of what we can accomplish and sadly there are times when we let them stop us from reaching for more. Don’t let anyone ever tell you what you are capable of.

With hard work and a great business, you can make unlimited income from home. Don’t limit yourself to mediocrity when you can have greatness!

Reasons Why Not EVERYONE Can Succeed In A Home Based Business!

It has often been said that “anyone” can have success in a home based business but, is that really true? Can everyone really succeed working from home? In this article I will attempt to answer that burning question.

As someone who has been in or around the home based business industry for many years, I’ve seen a lot of success stories. I’ve seen ordinary looking people who you would never guess were super successful turn out huge incomes all with the help of a home based business. However, I have also seen many people fail and fail big time. So what gives? Isn’t anyone suppose to be able to succeed working from home? Well here is what I’ve noticed.

Successful people have vision. Every company starts out small. It takes a person with true vision to be able to look at a tiny start up company and see where it’s headed. Even if they are starting out in a more well established company, it takes vision to see that they can have success.

People who fail are fault finders. You know the type. They always have ways the company can “improve” on something whether it be the products or the compensation plan or marketing. What I have found is the people who are constantly finding things wrong with everything are never successful. Successful people might see a thing or two that could be improved on, but they don’t let it hang them up.

Successful people listen to what other successful people have to say. It’s really like a game of follow the leader. If you watch what other people are doing to make money and follow it, then you, too, will have success. It’s really much easier than we tend to make it.

People who fail want to re-invent the wheel. I’ve seen lots and lots of people come into a company and brag about how they are going to change the game and create a whole new system for success. 99 times out of 100 those people fail. Why not just stick with what you know works?

Successful people don’t give up. Success with anything is going to take some time. There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme, at least not a legal one.

People who fail, try for a little bit and then just give up. Trying a business for a month and then quitting means you didn’t really try at all. There isn’t a business alive that became successful in such a short amount of time. Unless you are willing to invest 2 – 4 years of your life in a business, don’t bother getting started. Of course you will see some small successes along the way but the big money comes to those who put in consistent effort over a significant period of time.

So what’s the verdict? Is it true that anyone can be successful working from home? I say no. Because not everyone is willing to do what it takes to see true success. But if you are willing to work hard and with consistency your success is guaranteed!

If you are a part of a good home based business and you’re working hard every week to achieve your goals, then there is no doubt that you will find success. So the question is, are you ready for success when it comes?

For some people becoming extremely successful can end up even worse than no success at all. Why do I say that? Because making more money opens the doors for you to make more mistakes. Start taking the steps now to prepare yourself for your approaching success.

* Don’t raise your cost of living completely

Many people raise their cost of living way too much once they start making money. Yes, it’s natural to want to enjoy a nicer car or house or take more vacations. But try to live under your means, not AT them and certainly not OVER them.

You see this with famous people all the time. They go from meager lives to lives of extravagance and pretty soon they are living well over what they can afford. You may think this could never happen to you, but it’s easy to do. Don’t make this mistake. Remember, you can be rich and still living paycheck to paycheck and nobody wants that.

* Save, save, save!

When you have a steady paycheck coming in, it might be hard to remember to save a little. However, it’s a must if you want to be prepared. Remember, no matter how much you’re making now, it could always change! This is not to scare you but it’s always better to have more money saved than you need than not to have enough.

Try to save at least 15% – 20% from your paycheck every month. That way if anything should happen you know you’ll be covered.

* Make smart investments, not foolish ones

Investing your money is a good idea as long as you know what you’re investing in. Don’t go into something without really checking it out first.

* Taxes

Make sure you are doing your taxes correctly and not cheating the government out of a dime! It will come back and bite you in the rear if you aren’t doing your taxes correctly with your new found income. This is the one thing you don’t want to ignore. If you don’t listen to anything else in this article, take this point to heart .

When people look at a home based business, they see different things. For some people it’s a way to make a few extra dollars to help with the bills or go shopping, for some people it’s a way to make money from home while their spouse brings home the big paycheck from work and finally for others it’s a life changing thing that allows you to make the kind of money you’ve always dreamed of from home. So can a home based business really ever be your full time profession?

The answer is yes, however, the only way you’re truly going to make that life changing kind of money is if you stop seeing it as a hobby and you start building an empire!

When you join a home based business, you have something very special in your hands. You have a fully functional business that you can make whatever you want. The choice really is yours. Do you want a $12,000 a year business or do you want a $100,000 a year business?

If you want to make six figures you’re in the right industry. There is no other type of business out there that allows average people to make such huge incomes.

So how do you turn your business from a part time hobby to a full time money making machine? Well for starters, you’re going to have to change the way you look at your business. If when you look at your business, you see a small time little thing then that is what you’re going to get. When you talk to people, when you present the business in any way, you have to present it like the CEO of a fortune 500 company would present it.

Treat your business with the respect it deserves and you’ll be on the right track to making your home based business a full time profession.

The next step is setting goals. If you’re not setting goals for your business, you aren’t treating it like a business. All big companies have a plan for where they will be going at all times. Sit down at your computer or with a piece of paper and chart out your goals and what it is going to take to get there. Also, don’t leave out dates. Sure you want to make $100,000 but when? If you don’t write out your goals and when exactly you’re going to accomplish, then you are doing your business a disservice.

Your home based business can be as big or as small as you make it. Make sure you’re doing everything you can to get the most out of your home based business. Don’t just make it a hobby, make it your career for life!

Success with failure will make you a better Networker!

A lot of people believe that success is the absence of failure. That’s not true, in fact if you really want to succeed in a home based business, I’m going to tell you to embrace failure!

OK. I know it sounds crazy but it’s true. The more you fail the closer you are to success. Network marketing is nothing but a big giant numbers game and you’re going to have to talk to a lot of people to find the 3 or 4 that will change your business and your life forever.

So many people make the mistake of getting involved in a network marketing business, talking to their friends and family and then getting incredibly discouraged when they say they’re not interested. Look, not everyone is going to want what you have–Period. Instead of getting upset when people we know object to our business, we should get excited because that means we are a few people closer to finding the ones who are going to be interested.

Look at it this way, you could make the best cheeseburger in the world–the entire world! And you could walk around the street trying to give it to people. Would everyone want one? Absolutely not!

Some people don’t eat meat.
Some people don’t like cheese.
Some people just wouldn’t believe it was really the greatest cheeseburger in the world.
Some people would think if you were giving it away, it couldn’t possibly be any good.

There are about a million reasons why some people would choose not to eat that cheeseburger and not one of those reasons has anything to do with the cheeseburger. Get it?

However, the more people you talked to about your cheeseburger (or your network marketing business), the more people you’d find who were interested. Yeah, sure you’re going to have to deal with people who don’t want it but that’s fine because that just means there will be more for the people that do!

Are you starting to get my point yet? You have to fail a lot before you can win big!

We often get the idea in our heads that if our network marketing business is really so great everyone would want to be a part of it and if even one or two people say no, then it must not be that great after all. Obviously that’s just not true. Learn to embrace (and dare I say even enjoy) the failures because for every 20 people who say no chances are 1 or 2 are going to say yes and that is a victory for you and your business!

So don’t get discouraged by a few no’s. It just means you’re that much closer to a great big yes!
